That was now four months ago. And it's been an amazing four months, best summed up with phrase 'I live in London!' We've spent four months exploring, seeing new things each week and experiencing new stories to tell, I mean, I live in London!
But as summer starts to die a cold and wet death; work starts to become a daily routine; and the big-new-exciting-things-in-London turn into the things-that-are-in-the-city-where-I-live; the significantly less romantic truth is that I live in London. Short story long, the glamour's gone, the fire's faded, the novelty has worn off - and it's great!
The last few weeks have consisted of working in some of my favourite schools with amazing staff and students in beautiful parts of Surrey, as well as this one hellish school in Croydon (essentially the Armadale of the Greater London Area) that my employers keep sending me too. I've been quite ill too, missing a few days of work last fortnight with laryngitis and missing all of this week with the flu. I've also watched every episode of the new series of Doctor Who on its release day! And the other night, while Shannae went to her first rave, I made the best cup of tea I've had since a particularly note-worthy English Breakfast back in '09.
All-in-all, life's pretty great. Being the chronically lazy bastard that I am, I genuinely enjoy spending days in. While it's raining outside there's nothing better than lighting our scented candles (I recently discovered WoodWick candles, they're amazing. Check them out here) and reading my book. I love all the little comforts of home, like HobNobs and tea; our matching Harry Potter jumpers; and Fox and Bear (the owl) - our awesome wheat bags.
Thanks heaps for reading guys, like and comment below.
I promise that the near future will include more explorations and adventures and hopefully more exciting posts!
Much love.
